Born in Victoria 1949, Jane and her family moved to the UK where she spent her childhood.
Jane returned to Australia in the early 60s where she studied at Perth Technical College 1965-67, during this time Jane went on to win the Jackson's Art Prize, University of Western Australia Guild of Undergraduates Prize and the Helena Rubenstein Portrait Exhibition.
From the 1970s through the 80s Jane spent teaching, studding her craft and raising three children.
In 1991 Jane spent six months painting in France.
She was a founding board member of Mark Howlett Foundation 1991-95. Six months painting in England and Scotland, 1993.
After that followed five months painting commission in New Zealand where she spent time painting commissioned landscapes in various country towns, 1997.
From 1983 Jane has had many solo and group exhibitions through-out Australia, wining numerous awards.
Janes work is represented in numerous private and public collections, including: Art Gallery of Western Australia, BankWest, Shire of Roebourne, Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital, Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery, King Edward Memorial Hospital, Edith Cowan University, 1999, Royal Perth Hospital, Central College of TAFE, plus many private collections in Australia, New Zealand, UK and France.
